Single tooth

Dental implants

An implant replaces the root of a missing tooth.

Neighbouring teeth stay untouched.

An implant acts as an artificial tooth root and later carries a crown. Healthy neighbouring teeth usually do not need to be ground down.

Planning and procedure

Digital planning in St. Gallen

Diagnostics with 3D scans (CBCT) and digital models take place at BIZ in St. Gallen.

Placement in Pristina

Dr. med. dent. Wolfgang Prinz, MDSc, often places the implant in the jawbone under local anaesthetic.

Healing

During the healing phase, the implant fuses firmly with the bone.

Crown

Once healed, the custom-made crown is fitted.

Immediate implants

In some cases, the implant can be placed right after a tooth is removed. Whether temporary teeth can also be fitted straight away depends on bone, stability and findings.

Not every gap needs the same solution. Only an examination shows whether an implant, a bridge or another option makes sense.

Aftercare based on your plan

At your consultation, we clarify which checks are likely to be needed after treatment, where they can take place and which practice handles follow-up questions. This depends on your findings and treatment plan.

The right solution starts with a diagnosis.
